A Mom & Baby Yoga class is a specialized yoga session designed to accommodate new mothers and their infants. This type of yoga class focuses on the physical and emotional well-being of both the mother and the baby.
Don’t miss out on this cute, cuddly and one of a kind yoga with baby. Babies can be incorporated into your yoga or can sleep, watch or play.
Recommended for Moms with little ones 6 weeks to 18 months! These specialized yoga sessions concentrate on strengthening your postnatal body with guided upper body, abdomen and pelvic floor movements.
Perfect class for those looking to continue their yoga practice with baby or for new yoga comers looking for a low impact activity after baby. No yoga experience required.
Baby is incorporated if mom chooses (or can sleep or hang out ) – and don’t be surprised if snuggles and laughter are involved.
Welcoming and Supportive Atmosphere: Mom & Baby Yoga classes typically foster a warm and inviting environment where mothers can connect with each other and share their experiences of motherhood. It’s a place where you can find support and build a sense of community with other new moms.
Baby-Centered Practice: Unlike traditional yoga classes, Mom & Baby Yoga places a strong emphasis on accommodating your postpartum needs. Babies are can be integrated into the class but are free to feed, sleep, or play as needed. This makes it a practical and flexible option for mothers.
Gentle Postures: The yoga postures practiced in these classes are usually gentle and modified to accommodate postpartum bodies. The focus is on helping mothers regain strength and flexibility, especially in areas like the core and pelvic floor, which are often weakened during pregnancy and childbirth.
Social Interaction: In addition to the physical and mental benefits of yoga, Mom & Baby Yoga classes provide an opportunity for mothers and babies to socialize. It’s a chance for both to interact with others in a similar life stage, fostering a sense of camaraderie.
What to Bring: Participants are often encouraged to bring a yoga mat, a blanket or cushion for their baby, any necessary baby supplies (diapers, feeding essentials), and comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement.
We have so many class options that sometimes it’s hard to choose! That’s why we’ve joined with The School Creative Arts, the dance and fitness studio where we host of all our FBTL classes – to offer you more classes and more flexibility.
You can opt to use your class card for one particular style of class – i.e. 5 Mom & Baby Strength + Cardio or you can mix up your classes and do 2-3 a week. This also adds to your flexibility if you can’t make a class, no problem – just reschedule your class with out any hassle!
You class passes are not only good for our Mom & Baby classes, but our Strong, Move, Fit morning classes AND the School Creative Arts Beat Body Move classes.
