Mom & Baby Upper Body + CORE Strength
Upper Body + Core Strength – Our bodies go through a lot during pregnancy and birth and jumping back into how we did things before is just not gonna happen. We need to slowly and safely build our strength back – and everything is connected to our core.
In this specialized CORE class for new moms, we concentrate on repairing the core muscles through a variety of movements – with modifications for all stages. Stronger core, stronger back and stronger body – that’s what we’re about. You will not hear “Mommy Tummy” here – this is about strength not abs.
As new moms – we put a lot of stress through our upper body. Our babies are just getting heavier. Building your upper body strength will help you perform every day tasks more efficiently and with less stress through your neck and back
How baby is incorporated: Mom can set up a blanket and area up for baby beside them, leave them in their car seat or with modifications, can put them in the carrier.
For all fitness levels and all stages of postpartum moms. Modifications are given to both increase and lower the intensity of the workout. Tone, Strength, Laugh and sweat. If you are concern about separated abs – please send us a note to chat.

* Optional : If you have a set of weights you’d prefer to bring, you are welcome to. FBTL has a supply at the studio for participants to borrow.

Each class will be limited to 8-10 participants to ensure everyone has room to move.
You’ll find us at 160 Lakeshore Road East – Entrance to the studio is on Rosewood Ave.

Meet your SuperMom tribe with Fitness by the Lake. We have multiple fitness and yoga classes for you and your little one.
Little ones can be as young as 8 weeks (as long as Mom has been cleared to participate) all the way to toddler. Have a new baby and a toddler – bring them both – our instructors are always happy to have a little helper or walk around with baby.
